Join us on May 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Congress Center CCB Basel for an important event aimed at stakeholders, stroke survivors, medical professionals, the public, representatives from politics, and health insurance providers.

The absence of a specific patient organization for stroke survivors in Switzerland has led to the organization of a public event on this topic. Other countries have successfully established such organizations, and it is crucial to address this issue to discuss the possibility of creating a similar entity in Switzerland. The objective of this event is to highlight the importance of patient organizations for stroke survivors, provide insights into the process of establishing such an organization, and engage in a discussion about why Switzerland needs such an organization and the necessary steps to achieve it.

The following objectives will be pursued during this event:

  • Raising national awareness about the need for a patient organization for stroke survivors in Switzerland.
  • Facilitating discussions and connections among stakeholders.
  • Exploring best practices from other countries in establishing stroke patient organizations.
  • Initiating a dialogue about the significance of such organizations for ethical, clinical, and social support.
  • Identifying potential leaders and advocates for the establishment of a patient organization for stroke survivors.
